Easy hairstyles for all locks – Part 2

Hi everyone! Sometimes, it can be hard finding ideas for how to style long, medium or short locs. Check out Part 1 of this series on easy loc styles for women here: Easy hairstyles for all locks

1. Bantu knots with remaining hair down

This style involves creating 3 rows of bantu knots, while leaving the rest of your locs loose. This looks great on shorter hair as well!

2. Ponytail with cornrows

For this style, you simply plait the front of your hair back and create a ponytail. It is great for those with short locs as it makes creating the ponytail easier.

3. Mini ponytail with side bang

Divide your locs into two; the top should be slightly less than half. Then remove about a quarter of the top portion in order to create the side bang. The side bang should start from the middle of your head. Lastly, put the rest of the top portion in a ponytail.

4. Messy low bun with top half loose

First, curl your locs. Then, divide your hair in two and put the bottom half in a low messy bun. For the top half, you can either do a middle part or a side part, whichever looks better with your face.

5. Fan bun with remaining hair down

Create a small ponytail without pulling your locs all the way through. This will result in a folded bun. Then spread the fold outwards and downwards to create the ‘fan’. You can either tuck the ends of the locks into the bun or leave them out like in the photo above.

6. Two horizontal ponytails

This style makes me feel like I’m reliving my childhood lol. It is also a great exercise style because it keeps your hair off your face and neck, while not pulling on your roots too much.

7. Cornrows with hair down

This is a variation of style #2. You create a smaller ponytail while leaving the rest of your locs loose.
