Hi everyone! A lot of you loved my post: Easy loc bun hairstyles, so I decided to do a part 2. Here are a couple more loc styles that incorporate loc buns.
1. Chopsticks bun with back down and side bang
Chopsticks are such a staple when it comes to buns. I find it’s not as easy to secure the bun using chopsticks if you don’t have loosely coiled/straight hair. It becomes increasingly difficult with loc buns. That’s why I just create the bun, then use the chopsticks purely as an accessory.
2. Top knot at front rest down
Top knots are buns too. They are a simple way to keep your hair away from your face by creating a ponytail, wrapping the hair around it, and securing it with a hair band. It is not as flat as the bun seen in #1 or in the next style (#3). Therefore, using less hair when creating a topknot would be easier.
3. Two horizontal high buns
This is a cute summer look that will keep all the hair off your neck while requiring less pull on your scalp than a single bun.
4. Several buns at front
This is great as a short locs hairstyle since there are several loc buns. The more buns the less hair that has to be pulled to get into one. This leads to less strain on the locks and thus won’t slow down the locking process.
5. Two horizontal low buns
This style will probably work best with medium to long locs since the buns are positioned so low. Your hair needs to be long enough to reach into the ponytail and also still have enough to create a decent-sized bun. However, it is also possible to stuff the bun with hair or material if you have enough of your own locs to cover it completely.
6. Curly low bun

7. Low messy bun with side bang
First take out a section of your hair to create the bang; it can be as big or small as you want. Then, all that’s required for this style is to pull your locks into a ponytail, but when wrapping for the final time with the hair band, don’t pull the hair all the way through.
